Respected Sir,
I am Mtech ,Computer Science Student. My thesis topic is to design a predictive algorithm for load balancing in distributed system.I was studied number of papers published in IEE.

The main problem in this tpopic comes is :-
1.How to estimate the load .
2.Load migration.

How to test my algorithm. What simulator is to use.

Kindly provide me necessary help. ....etc

Dynamic Load Balancing Distributed System in The Presence of
Delays: A Regeneration Theory Approach.

Abstract

The approach considers the heterogeneity in the processing rates of the nodes as well as the randomness in the delays imposed by the communication medium. The optimal one-shot load balancing policy is developed and subsequently extended to develop an autonomous and distributed load-balancing policy that can dynamically reallocate incoming external loads at each node. This adaptive and dynamic load balancin ....etc

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
Grid computing is a software technology, which uses the spare computing resources. This grid computing is now seen as a powerful and important tool for the power system applications. These days the power system operation and control involves large data-intensive, time-intensive applications. Therefore it can get a better solution by using this new technology. Also the power system is moving towards the renewable energy sources. In this case it helps them in providing cheap and efficient electrical e ....etc

A Web Service for evaluation of load balancing strategies for distributed web server systems

Number of users accessing the Internet is increasing quite rapidly and it is common to have more than 100 million hits a day for popular web sites. For example, netscape.com website receives more than 120 million hits a day. The number of users is expected to continue increasing at a fast rate and hence any website that is popular, faces the challenge of serving very large number of clients with good performance. Full mirroring of web servers or repl ....etc

Abstract
Many large web sites get millions of hits everyday. They need a scalable web server
system that can provide better performance to all the clients that may be in different
geographical regions. Common approach to improve performance is to have fully
replicated web server clusters in different geographical regions with replicated
servers. In such an environment, one of the most important issues is selecting a server
for servicing a request. Client requests should be directed to a server such that the
time taken for servicin ....etc

Dynamic Load Balancing in Distributed Systems in the Presence of Delays: A Regeneration-Theory Approach
To analytically characterize the average overall completion time in a distributed system, a regeneration-theory approach is undertaken. The the randomness in the delays due to the communication medium as well as the heterogeneity in the processing rates of the nodes is considered by the approach. A one-shot load balancing policy is devised and for optimisation, it is extended to develop an autonomous and distributed load-balancing po ....etc

An Algorithm for Dynamic Load Balancing in
Distributed Systems with Multiple Supporting
Nodes by Exploiting the Interrupt Service

INTRODUCTION

Rapid growth in use of computer has increased the
number of resource sharing application which
increased the amount of load across internet. The Problem can
be solved by increasing the size of servers or distributing
the applications in effective manner across different
servers which is termed as load balancing.load estimation can be estimated by means of processing power of the node. ....etc
