A variable-sweep wing is a wing configuration that allows to alter planform for various flight conditions. A variable-sweep wing can be moved during flight-usually between a swept-back position and a straight position. This allows it to take advantage of the aerodynamics of a swept wing at high speeds while avoiding the drawbacks of such a design at lower speeds. Delta wing
The delta wing is a wing planform in the form of a triangle, named after the Greek uppercase delta . Its shape when viewed from above looks like a triangle, often with its tip cut off.
