AUTOMATIC RAIN OPERATED WIPER

The aim to design and develop a control system based on electronically controlled automotive rain operated motor is called AUTOMATIC RAIN OPERATED WIPER .
Rain operated motor consists of conduction sensor circuit, control unit, wiper motor and glass frame. The sensor is used to detect the rain or water flow. If there is any rain on the glass the sensor senses the rain or flow of water and gives control signal to the wiper motor.

A continuously working wiper is a big problem when it is raining slightly.The wiper control given here makes the wiper to sweep at rates from 1S to 10 S.

The circuit is build around an astable multivibrator using NE 555.Here the output at pin 3 remains high for a time period set by R2 ,and low for a time period set by R3.The low output pulse drives the transistor pair to drive the wiper motor to make one sweeping cycle and waits for next low pulse to arrive for next sweep.The high going pulse at pin 3 determines how many time should wiper shou ....etc

Today s car wipers are manual systems that work on the principle of manual switching. So here we propose an automatic wiper system that automatically switches ON on detecting rain and stops when rain stops. Our project brings forward this system to automate the wiper system having no need for manual intervention. For this purpose we use rain sensor along with microcontroller and driver IC to drive the wiper motor.
