To extract the abnormal lesion firstly one has to remove the normal physiological features resembling the lesion.
Optic disc has similar shape and structure resembling to the exudates so optic disc has to be identified before exudates detection and extraction.
Did extensive literature survey on how to extract the optic disc and applied morphological filtering method in identifying the optic disc.
