New materials and construction techniques are required to provide Civil Engineering alternatives to traditional road construction practices. Traditional techniques have not been able to withstand the burden of mixed traffic for a long time. Therefore, the pavement requires overlap. To overcome this problem the inclusion of fibre in pavements is adopted today. This paper highlights the use of discrete fibre in road construction.
