Segmental pavers have been used for thousands of years. The Romans built roads with them that are still there. But it was not until the mid-1940s that pavers began to be produced out of concrete. It started in the Netherlands where all the roads are made to be flexible because the country is below sea level and the ground shifts, moves and sinks. Poured concrete is not an option because it will crack. Individual units not set in concrete, and placed in sand perform far better than concrete. The advantages of Porotherm Thermo bricks are plenty and are as follows:
These bricks have a very small value of rate of heat loss (generally called as U-value), nearly 0.6 W/m K whereas that for a solid clay brick and a solid concrete block is 1.8 W/m K and 2.0 W/m K respectively. The U-value must be as low as possible as then less energy is required for cooling or heating the indoors of a building.

What do you do about all that mail -- junk and otherwise -- with incriminating information on it? You know, the stuff with your name and bank account numbers and such that you don't want an identity thief to get? If you toss them in the recycling (or, worse, the trash), who knows what might happen to them between here and the recycling plant?

Some people buy a shredder -- an electric lump of a thing that sits in a corner and turns paper into streamers. I guess it sounds kinda fun, but it costs money, uses electricity and t ....etc
