IMAGE RESTORATION
The main objective of restoration is to improve the quality of a digital image which has been degraded due to Various phenomena like:
Motion
Improper focusing of Camera during image acquisition.
Atmospheric turbulence
Noise
Noise is usually dealt with separately, while the other phenomena are modeled by degradation functions.
Let us first discuss the process of degradation due to uniform linear motion. Noise will be discussed at a later date.

Abstract

t-A new two-dimensional (2-D) block Kalman filtering method is presented which uses a full-plane image model to generate a more accurate filtered estimate of an image that has been corrupted by additive noise and full-plane blur.
