Definition
Welding technology has obtained access virtually to every branch of manufacturing; to name a few bridges, ships, rail road equipments, building constructions, boilers, pressure vessels, pipe lines, automobiles, aircrafts, launch vehicles, and nuclear power plants. Especially in India, welding technology needs constant upgrading, particularly in field of industrial and power generation boilers, high voltage generation equipment and transformers and in nuclear aero-space industry.

I am an MSc. Electronic science student in Cochin university of science and technology. i'm specializing in robotics. i wish to prepare a seminar about shadow mode function in robots. also would like to do my academic project on the same. how to implement shadow function in a robot? how to teach the robot using shadow function. using image processing how can we make the robot memorize our movements and reproduce those stored motions in future? kindly give me necessary details.. ....etc

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Robots
A robot is a mechanical or virtual, artificial agent. It is usually an electromechanical system, which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own.
A typical robot will have several, though not necessarily all of the following properties:
Is not 'natural' i.e. has been artificially created.
