ADAPTIVE TECHNIQUES BASED HIGH IMPULSIVE NOISE DETECTION AND REDUCTION OF A DIGITAL IMAGE
ABSTRACT
As reducing impulse noise in a digital image is a very active research area in image processing, this paper proposes a novel algorithm for digital image impulsive noise detection and reduction based on adaptive nonlinear techniques which seems to be a boom in digital image restoration process. The main objective of this algorithm is to consider a particular digital image as input and make the preprocessing to remove the impulsive ....etc

The instruction is valid for Matlab version R2007b

First dowload and save grTheory toolobox (save it in Tools): http://mathworksmatlabcentral/fileexchange/4266. Open the Matlab and go to the File/Set Path and click on the Add Folder. Insert the path to your grTheory toolbox.

Next create working folder and store there all files prepared at the bottom of this webpage (networksDB.mat, loadAndPrintNet.m, oneRoundWSN.m).

The networkDb.mat file that contains the database of the WSN networks in th ....etc

deblurring of color images corrupted by impulsive noise matlab code

Abstract

We consider the problem of restoring a multichannel image corrupted by blur and impulsive noise (e.g., salt-and-pepper noise). Using the variational framework, we consider the L1 fidelity term and several possible regularizers. In particular, we use generalizations of the Mumford-Shah (MS) functional to color images and gamma-convergence approximations to unify deblurring and denoising. Experimental comparisons show that the MS stabilizer yields better results with r ....etc

Abstract

A measurement campaign has been carried out in 400kV air insulated electricity substation to characterise and model radio frequency impulsive noise with a view to assessing its impact on wireless network technologies. The relatively recent availability of new technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth and Zigbee means that particular emphasis has been put on higher frequency bands (e.g. 2.4, 5 GHz) than have previously been investigated. A detection system to measure wideband noise over a spectrum extending up to 5.1 GHz ....etc

Abstract
Consider the problem of image deblurring in the presence of impulsive noise. Stan- dard image deconvolution methods rely on the Gaussian noise model and do not per- form well with impulsive noise. The main challenge is to deblur the image, recover its discontinuities and at the same time remove the impulse noise. Median-based ap- proaches are inadequate, because at high noise levels they ....etc
