What is WiMax?
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a communication technology for wirelessly delivering high-speed Internet service to large geographical areas.
It is built on IEE 802.16 standards
It is a new standard developed by the IEE that focuses on point to multipoint broadband wireless networks.
Wi Max is both faster and has a longer range than
Wi-Fi.
It represents the next
generation 4G technology
