WAGON TIPPLERS

Tippler is used for emptying the loaded wagons by tipping it. Tippler retains wagon from top as well as from side by using clamping devices provided on it. Apart from that track stops, wheel grippers and different type of limit switches are provided as features of wagon tippler.

Tippler is driven by either Hydraulic drive or by electro-mechanical drive.

Placement of wagon, on tippler platform, is accomplished by wagon marshalling equipment. ....etc

Foundation stone of Wagon Repair workshop, Kota was laid in November 1957 and the shop was commissioned in October 1960. The workshop is equipped to undertake POH and ROH of all types of BG wagons operating on Indian Railways. WRS/Kota is the only workshop on Indian Railways which undertakes POH and ROH of LPG wagons viz. BTPGLN and TG. In past, workshop primarily has been doing tank wagons but the trend of feed from 07-08 has changed to wagons like BOXN and BCN/BCNA. The workshop also undertakes deposit ....etc
