Improving the Performance of TCP Over Wireless Links

In this thesis, we address the problem of degradation in performance of TCP over wireless links. We propose enhancements to TCP so that it responds to certain control signals from the network. These control signals allow TCP to differentiate packet losses unrelated to congestion from those related to congestion.
