Basically a Quadcopter is a QUAD ROTOR helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors.A quadcopter is a flying vehicle possessing 4 identical rotors, evenly spaced around the central fuselage (hub).

Since as early as 1920, multicopter vehicles have been designed, built, and used to experiment with aerial vehicle designs . The quadrotor or quadcopter design is one example of the many prototypes produced. This particular design uses four identical rotors mounted symmetrically; the result is a very stable flight platform. Wallich shared the details behind his design with engineering magazine IEE Spectrum, but the project is actually a pretty simple one the copter is a fairly standard build that Wallich got airworthy easily. Getting the gizmo to follow his kid was a little more tricky, as an RFID solution would have necessitated a burlier antenna than the small craft could comfortably carry.
