This article presents a new method for the purpose of computing the grayscale morphological operations with arbitrary 2-D flat structuring elements (S.E.).In the method, the image content and the number of gray levels used does not influence the computing time required. The work done by Van Droogen broeck and Talbot is the only comparable work done in this field and the proposed method outperforms this one.
