We propose an appearance-based face recognition method called the Laplacianface approach. By using Locality Preserving Projections (LPP), the face images are mapped into a face subspace for analysis. I am doing project on Automatic attendance system for students using face detection and recognition in java as front end and MySQL as back end for maintaining database. As of now I have completed with storing database and gray scale conversion of stored images.
