The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is one of the largest generators used
with MW-class wind turbines. This paper focuses on the weak performance areas
of grid-connected DFIG-based wind turbines. Basically, the DFIG performance at
low wind speeds, close to the cut in speed, and around the full rating operation (in

A variable-speed controller, for an existing 225 kW fixed-speed wind power generator, is presented in this paper. A sensorless direct torque control algorithm-based controller is proposed for the squirrel-cage induction generator. Generator torque reference is derived based on sensorless maximum power tracking mode algorithm, up to the base speed of the generator. A NOVEL METHOD OF COMPRESSING SPEECH WITH HIGHER BANDWIDTH EFFICIENCY
Abstract:
This paper illustrates a novel method of speech compression and transmission. This method saves the transmission bandwidth required for the speech signal by a considerable amount. This scheme exploits the property of low pass nature of the speech signal. Also this method applies equally well for any signal, which is low pass in nature, speech being the more widely used in Real Time Communication, is highlighted here.

Bidirectional flexure analysis of functionally graded (FG) plate integratedwith piezoelectric fiber reinforced composites (PFRC) is presented in this paper. A higher order shear and normal deformation theory (HOSNT12) is used to analyze such hybrid or smart FG plate subjected to electromechanical loading.
