The ultra-capacitor model has been developed in the PLECS toolbox. Experimental tests have been carried out in order to identify ultra-capacitor parameters. The Maxwell BCAP0310 cell (310 F) has been used in the study. The model is dynamic, ie it reflects the transient state of the ultra-capacitor voltage. The parameterization of the model allows specifying an ultra-capacitor package with a defined number of cells in series or parallel.

In order to improve the output efficiency of PV system, A novel variable step size perturbation and observation (P&O) method is proposed to track the maximum power point of PV system. Based on the mathematical model of PV system, this method tracks the maximum power point by regulating the output voltage after measuring the changes of output power.
