A Half wave rectifier is a device which converts ac voltage to pulsating dc voltage using one PN junction diode.The ac voltage (230 V, 50 HZ) is connected to the primary of the transformer. Biasing a diode means applying appropriate DC voltage to a diode. A forward biased diode conducts

Theory:
