Creating a multi-rate model
Normally when creating a simple model in Simulink you don't worry about sample periods - there is an abstract notion and you simulate for a number of periods (specified in the Simulation->Parameters.. form). However, if you are about to create a controller rather than a model of a system to control, you often end up in a situation where some parts of the controller should execute more often than other parts.
