ABSTRACT

A moving train contains energy, known as kinetic energy, which needs to be removed from the train in order to cause it to stop. The simplest way of doing this is to convert the energy into heat. The conversion is usually done by applying a contact material to the rotating wheels or to discs attached to the axles. The material creates friction and converts the kinetic energy into heat. ABSTRACT

Enhanced Oil Recovery is a generic term for techniques for increasing the amount of crude oil that can be extracted from an oil field. Using EOR, 30-60 %, or more, of the reservoir's original oil can be extracted compared with 20-40% using primary and secondary recovery. Storage capacity of reservoir:

The available Storage capacity depends upon the size and the height of dam.
Engineering surveys are usually conducted for preliminary estimation of the capacity.
Survey of Indian map can be used .Scale 1cm=500m(RF=1/50000)and1cm=2500
(RF=1/250000)

For accurate determination of the capacity a topographic survey of the area is usually conducted and a contour map of the area is prepared.
