An efficient design of pressure vessel is crucial for the expected performance of the operating region of both in terms of life and safety. The project dealt with the analysis of cylindrical shell, cover plate, flange, bolts, nozzle and gasket. Modifications for the conventional cylindrical shell and cover plate were made and their effect on related parts was estimated.
