Concept of Cement

The word CEMENT may be defined as a substance, which can join two or more pieces of same other substance together to form a unit mass. Cement is a fine powder which when mixed with water and allow to set and harder can join different components together to give a strong structure mechanically. Thus cement can be used as founding material for bricks or for founding solid particles of different sizes (rubble masonry ) to form a monolish.

The main function of High Power Transmitting station is that, it downlinks the signals from the satellite with the help of a parabolic dish antenna and boosts the signal in such a manner that it is suitable for a good TV reception & transmission.

As an integral and compulsory part of the biomedical engineering or materials course,all of us students in the second year had to on an industrial visit which lasted four days altogether. We visited a variety of companies, ranging from Airbus, the aircraft wing manufacturer in Filton to Poole Pottery in Bournemouth. This industrial visit
provided an insight on how companies (big and small companies) work and also useful information related to the course which can not be visualised in lectures, such as the mechanical testing m ....etc
