Abstract

The project work HYDRO-THERMAL SCHEDULING is done to optimize generation cost of power in a hydro-thermal power plant using MATLAB software. This is basically a simulation project. Here three different types of techniques or algorithms have been used. These are classical method of solving short term fixed head hydrothermal scheduling, Genetic algorithm and Differential Evolution method.
