INTRODUCTION
The transmission medium is the physical path between the transmitter and receiver in a data transmission system.
Transmission media is divided into two types: Guided(wired) or Unguided(Wireless).
Wired Media is the most common and is further divided into three different types of cabling: Coaxial, Twisted Pair, and Fiber Optic Cables

Data Transmission Modes
1.Simplex: 1. In simplex mode the communication can take place only in one direction. The receiver receives the signal from the transmitting device. This mode of flow of information is Unidirectional. Example: Radio, T.V., Pager transmission.
2.Half-duplex: In half-duplex mode the communication channel is used in both directions, but only in one direction at a time. Thus a half-duplex line can alternately send and receive data.Example is the wireless communication.

This study looks at the relationship between traffic variables and carbon monoxide concentrations inside transit buses in Singapore. Speed, acceleration, road grade, and VSP were measured throughout the route using a GPS device.
