Contrast enhancement of RGB images is done by processing the intensity component. Firstly convert image from RGB to YIQ, so as to be able to isolate the intensity component. Then apply histogram equalization to the intensity component, and convert back to RGB.

A simple process to construct 3D rapid prototyping (RP) physical models for computer tomography (CT) medical images segmentation is presented by this article. The conversion of CT images to an RP model is made simpler by the use of stereolithography (STL) triangular meshes as a basis for RP construction. The STL triangular meshes are constructed directly from the data points without first converting them to curve model in the beginning. a 3D
