An Ant-Based Routing System has been constructed and it has been shown to find optimum routing strategies un- der static conditions. With the introduction of dynamic traffic situations onto the network, the ants do not always display optimum behaviour. This paper presents the results of experimental studies concerning the flexural strengthening of RC beams using externally bonded Slurry Infiltrated Mat CONcrete (SIMCON) laminates. A total of four reinforced concrete beams were cast and tested in the laboratory over an effective span of 3000 mm. Three beams were strengthened with bonded SIMCON laminate at the bottom under virgin condition and tested until failure; the remaining one beam was used as control specimen. Abstract
We present matrix network coding methods that are
naturally amenable to a distributed implementation method, i.e.,
do not require the knowledge of network topology, and that are
suitable for network error correction. First, the Singleton bound
can be K-fold increased by employing a K K matrix coefficient.
Moreover, we prove that matrix network coding outperforms
linear network coding, since it corrects more errors than linear
