Unified Power Flow Controller

INTRODUCTION

Two main objectives of FACTS

Increase the TX capability of AC line
Control of power flow over the TX routes

Abstract
Large-scale distributed measurement systems are the object of several applications and research.In this article, attempts are made for developing measurement techniques that are suited to the continuous monitoring of the electrical quantities in distribution networks by using Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers. The quantities are measured in terms of synchronized phasors. general-purpose acquisition hardware and processing software is used here and as a result, the system can be easily easily reconfigured and reprogram ....etc

INTRODUCTION
Energinet.dk is the independent system operator (ISO) in Denmark. Until 2005 Elkraft System was the
ISO in Eastern Denmark, and this project was run as an Elkraft System project in corporation with
Centre for Electric Technology at Technical University of Denmark.
