Panki Thermal Power Station is located at Panki in Kanpur district in the Indian state of Uttar pradesh, about 16 km from Kanpur. It has an installed capacity of 220 Mega Watts. The power plant is owned and operated by Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam.

1. For training the trainees have to pay training charges @ Rs.500/- per week. Sons/Daughters
of UPRVUNL / UPPCL / CISF Employees (including ex-employees) in above organizations
have to pay only 20 % of above charges, for which, they have to submit ....etc

Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Station is Rajasthan's first super thermal power station. It is located 27 km away from Suratgarhtown in Ganganagar district. The power plant is operated by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL). The power plant has 6 units that can produce 250 megawatts each. The plant received a gold shield on August 8, 2004 from Hon'ble President for consistently outstanding performance during the years 2000 to 2004. It also received a bronze shield from Hon' Prime Minisr for outstanding performance during the years 2 ....etc

THERMAL POWER STATION

The basic energy cycle involved in the plant is as follows :

Chemical Energy --> Mechanical Energy --> Electrical Energy

Turbine
Turbine converts the heat energy of the steam into mechanical energy.

The super heated steam works on the blades of the turbine and hence the blades starts rotating to produce the mechanical energy.
1) High pressure turbine.
2) Intermediate Pressure turbine.
3) Low pressure turbine.
