Abstract

The dynamic behavior of a synchronous distributed
generator connected to a distribution system during fault conditions
is studied. A fault on an actual system was found to have
a sag that was extended after the fault was cleared. It is shown

A New Induction Motor V/f Control Method Capable of High-Performance Regulation at Low Speeds

A novel open-loop speed control method for induction motors that provides high output torque and nearly zero steady-state speed error at any frequency is presented. a novel night-time application of a photovoltaic (PV) solar power farm bidirectional inverter as a battery charger, is presented. It is shown that a combination of PV solar farm and storage batteries can be advantageous in a distribution system having wind farm in close vicinity to the solar farm. Abstract
In this paper, the mathematical model of
STATCOM based on space vector theory is presented. The
voltage equations are transformed into the synchronous rotating
reference frame (dq-axis). The relationship between STATCOM
parameters and stability, transient and steady state
performances are determined. Stability investigation with Routh-
Hurwitz criterion indicates that the STATCOM is a stable
system and the numerical values of resistors, inductors and
capacitors in the STATCOM equivalent circuit have no effect on
